Wearing Coloured Contacts

Coloured contacts are fun, different and enchanting. But can we wear them everyday? Is it safe? Can people who doesn't wear contact lens in the first place wear them?

Well, these are all the questions we ask ourselves when purchasing our coloured contacts for the first time.

1. Can we wear them everyday?

Yes and no. It depends on individuals whether they wear them everyday or not. However, in my personal opinions, I wouldn't wear coloured contacts everyday. Compared to regular clear contact lenses, coloured contacts are actually less comfortable. So, I would not suggest wearing coloured contacts everyday.

2. Is it safe?

It depends on who and where you purchase your contacts from. When, before or even after purchasing, ensure that the contact vials have stickers to prove that the contacts lenses are genuine. If the vials does not have any stickers which proves that it is genuine, it is definitely NOT safe to wear them.

Contact lenses wearers are responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of their contact lenses. It is absolutely important to do regular washing even if you do not wear them everyday. Be sure to throw your contact lenses out once you have been wearing them for 1 year or when the contact lenses are starting to feel really dry. Do not wash your contact lenses or their case with tap water!

3. Can people who doesn't wear contact lenses in the first place wear them?

Yes, they can. You can purchase coloured contacts with no prescriptions.

I wear coloured contacts on special occasions such as birthday parties, dinner and weddings. I think it adds a special touch of sparkle in your eyes. Also, adding colours to your eyes can enhance your make up.
